Placing Orders
You are responsible for ensuring that you are ordering the correct goods, having established that they are exactly what you want in terms of specification, colour and size. Robinsons Electric will not accept return of goods other than damaged or faulty goods.
Before purchasing from Robinsons Electric you are deemed to have read these terms and conditions and understood them.
Order Cancellations & Product Returns
You have the right to cancel your order at any time before a confirmed delivery date free of charge.
You have the right to cancel your order within 7 working days after receiving your products without giving a reason providing the goods have not been unpacked or assembled, and are in a re-saleable condition. The 7 working day cancellation period begins the day after receipt of those goods. You would however have to pay the cost of returning the goods to us. Upon receipt of the product, we will refund the price of the Product(s) in full less the cost (incurred collecting the product(s), and replacing any missing items (or accessories.
We will refund you within 30 days of cancellation.
Faulty Goods
If you are returning Product(s) that are faulty, you will not be responsible for any collection costs. Goods received as faulty will be replaced with the same model within a reasonable time depending upon availability from the manufacturer. If a replacement is not available then a full refund will be made. Faulty goods must be in the original packing and include all accessories and instruction books. Any missing items or transit damage will be chargeable to you.
Description of Goods
All the products we sell are of a technical nature and it is not practical to publish detailed specifications of all the products. All images, descriptive matter, specifications and advertising on our site are for the sole purpose of giving an approximate description of the goods. Full detailed specifications are available from the manufacturer's brochures or their websites.
Payment and Price
The total price payable for the goods will be stipulated at the time when you place your order whether or not the order has been confirmed. All prices on our website are inclusive of VAT but exclusive of delivery charges which will be payable as indicated at the time of placing your order. Payment of goods is to be made in full prior to the goods being despatched either by credit card or cleared cheque.
This Site contains a large number of Products and it is always possible that, despite our best efforts, some of the Products listed may be incorrectly priced. Prices will normally be verified as part of the dispatch procedures so that, where the correct price is less than the stated price, you will be charged the lower amount. If the correct price is higher than the stated price, you will be contacted for instructions before dispatching the Products and you may then cancel your order if you wish. If you do not cancel your order the Products will be supplied at the higher price. We are under no obligation to provide Products to you at the incorrect price, even after we have confirmed the sale with you or if the pricing error is obvious and unmistakable and could have reasonably been recognised by you as a mis-pricing.
Delivery
Robinsons Electric always endeavours to adhere to delivery estimates but they are unfortunately estimates and with the best will in the world and the most efficient systems, things sometimes do go wrong, very often outside of our control. Any dates we specify for the delivery of the goods are approximate only and we shall not be liable for any losses, costs, damages, charges, or expenses caused by any delay for delivery of the goods and time is not of the essence. Goods are dispatched in perfect condition by a courier that requires a receipt signature by the addressee confirming the goods have been received in the same condition. Any damaged goods must be refused and the courier informed to return the goods to Robinsons Electric. Any internal damage to the goods must be reported in writing to our office within 3 working days, otherwise Robinsons Electric will not be held responsible.
Guarantees
Manufacturer guarantees vary but are a minimum of 12 months. Electronic faulty items can either be returned to Robinsons Electric or alternatively taken to the nearest authorised service agent for repair. Details of which can be obtained be contacting Robinsons Electric. Repaired faulty items sent to Robinsons Electric will be returned to you at our expense.
Recycling: Since July 2007 the Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment Regulations have applied. The regulations were introduced to reduce the amount of untreated waste electrical and electronic equipment (WEEE) going to landfill and to ensure that equipment collected separately is dealt with properly. If you are taking the product away with you then you may return your old product to us within 28 days. If we are delivering to you locally by our own engineers then we can also collect and recycle your old electrical item when you have your new product delivered if it is of a similar type, i.e. an old TV of any sort will be collected if you purchased another TV of any type. All local authorities across the UK now have dedicated facilities for collecting waste electrical goods so you can take your product there. If you purchased your product via our internet site then you can return your similar item to us at either branch at your cost.
Look for the logo: All new electrical and electronic equipment we sell at Robinsons can be recycled! You can tell because our products include a ‘crossed out wheeled bin symbol’. Even if your old product doesn’t have the ‘crossed out wheeled bin’ symbol, the good news is we’ll gladly accept and recycle your old electrical and electronic equipment to the best of our ability. Benefits of recycling Recycling unwanted electrical products is better for the environment. Lead and other toxins contained in electrical goods can cause soil and water contamination. This can have a very harmful effect on the natural habitat, wildlife and also human health. When situated near populated areas these toxins can cause problems to communities as their water and soil is polluted. Many of the electrical items that we throw away can be repaired or recycled. Recycling items helps to save natural resources and also reduces the environmental and health risks associated with sending waste electrical goods to landfill.
