| A television is a television, right? | Well yes, but if it can be designed to function in a specific manner and to the better, then it's worth investigating further. As the name suggests, Hotel televisions are designed specifically for the Hotel environment. |
Let's take the obvious scenario.
 | The Check-In desk is brimming with guests, the phone is ringing, and a million other things seem to be going on when a guest complains that they can't get their favourite program, Hectors House, and unless it's sorted right now, all life on the planet will end. Why did this happen? Well, the previous guest was convinced that more channels were available and messed about with the tuning to the point of losing it altogether. It's now your job or maybe, lucky you, you delegate to someone else to go and sort it out. Time involved - say ten minutes? Is it longer? Which ever the case it's wasted precious time and effort that had a Hotel television been installed would not have occurred. The guest CANNOT detune a Hotel television. |
It's TOO loud! | The guest cannot increase the volume more than you decide is a healthy listening level. (More complaints eliminated.) |
Welcome Message | How about a welcome message when the guest turns on the television, i.e. "Welcome to My Hotel" |
Radio | With Digital TV there are many radio channels available and the Hotel television can be set up to "blank" the video screen hence saving power. |
Clock Alarm | Some models have an integrated LCD clock with alarm and wake up message so making a separate clock/radio redundant. |
Multimedia connectivity
| The guest can plug their own multimedia devices into most Philips Hotel televisions via the Philips Connectivity Panel |
Only Hotel Televisions are capable of all these features.
Designed to make your life easier. |
